And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
"Psalm 1:3, (KJV).

Did you know that by 2025 Millennials will make up 75% of the U. S. workforce? Millennials and Generation Xs are such an important issue of Rochester, NY. Why? Because, if we don't pay close attention to what they value and how they tick, Rochester will continue to experience the brain drain as other prominent cities. Millennials will continue to go places where people respect their thought patterns and value them as people rather than profit gainers.

On the other day, I read an article that said that Millennials are more likely to value experiences over things; relationships over property. Too often Millennials have been labeled as having poor work ethic, lazy, not caring, but if the truth be told, they just put more emphasis on having a work-life balance. Many baby boomers find this strange and awkward, but we must take notice. Rochester does not know enough about Millennials.

We at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church really want to hear more from Millennials; therefore, we will host "Millennials @ the Mic" on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Parking Lot of the Church. The location is at 250 Dr. Samuel McCree Way Rochester, New York 14611 (585) 328-4660.

This event promises to be an opportunity for "Real Talk. What's Your Truth? Millennials will take the mic to openly talk about what they desire in the workforce, their vision of home/school life, their community concerns , and with other life topics that are important to them. This will be an afternoon in the open air, hopefully under the bright sun, relaxing, sharing in plenty of food ( i. e. hot dogs,& hamburgers), entertainment, and fellowship. You will not want to miss it!

We invite you to join us and bring the whole family. Again come out to "Millennials @ the Mic" on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Parking Lot of Zion Hill Baptist Church 250 Dr. Samuel McCree Way Rochester, NY 14611.
